Right on queue the new sharp shooting 6th Man; Jamal Crawford delivered a remarkable performance on the hardwood in his Los Angeles Clipper debut at Staples Center in front of a sell out crowd (19,060) on Opening Night of the NBA vs. Memphis.

Clippers prevailed 101-92, it was a see saw battle for most of the game but a big 4th quarter of +13 (28-15) led them to the victory. Jamal wasn’t around when the Clippers trailed by 27 points in the third quarter of Game 1 of the Western Conference first-round series in Memphis and thundered back to win a game which may be known as one of the best come-backs in NBA History, 99-98. With the coming back, the Clippers tied the largest comeback in playoff history in the shot-clock era.

It didn’t seem to phase Crawford that he wasn’t part of the Clipper playoff team because he exploded for 29pts in 29 minutes and 51 seconds in route to a victory 101-92 over the Grizzlies, which allots him scoring a point a minute. Crawford (@JCrawford on Twitter) did it in a breathtaking fashion with breaking poor Clipper hater Rudy Gay’s ankle and knees on the way to scoring 12pts in the final frame to seal the victory.

Crawford feels right at home as a Los Angeles Clipper “It’s like night and day from last year, honestly,” Crawford said. “I haven’t felt like this since I was with the Knicks, mentally. I feel like I’ve found a home. The last few years I’ve basically played on one-year contracts. And that’s always tough. Some of the guys here called me and told me I was their number one option in free agency at the guard position. And when you feel wanted like that and see where the team is going and how you can fit it, it’s very cool.” Los Angeles Times.

Clipper Nation get ready to Rise UP and see Jamal go on a shooting barrage to be the first 50-pt game scorer by a Buffalo Brave, San Diego Clipper, or Los Angeles Clipper EVER. Scoring 29pts in 29mins with 4-7 from 3pt…imagine him making all 7 that would make it 38pts and a couple other shots go in, it’s bound to happen. He will get more minutes later in the season, we shall see if he can reach the 50pt plateau.

The Los Angeles Clippers start the season 1-0. Next game vs. Lakers November 2nd at Staples Center @ 7:30pm.
