Though the Los Angeles Clippers walked away with an easy victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, there star player walked away slightly roughed up.

This is what Clipper writers and bloggers worry about. Winning this first round series against the Grizzlies is only half the battle. The other half is walking away from the most physical team in the league unscathed. We all remember how last years series left the Clippers: Caron Butler broke his hand, Blake Griffin tweaked his knee and Chris Paul, though never fully admitting it, had a strained hip. That lead to an easy sweep by the San Antonio Spurs in the next round.

Luckily for Los Angeles, Paul’s injury isn’t anything serious as he’ll be prepared for a chance to go up 2-0 in the series after Game 2 tomorrow.
