So Im watching the 25-40 LA Clippers run the 12-52 New Jersey Nets, who are playing without their star, Deron Williams. The Clippers, man. We should call them Team Dream  Deferred.   Take note, NBA. Stock up on water and canned goods, the whole landscape of the NBA is ready for a seismic shift. The Lo Angeles Clippers gave a glimpse of things to come next year, building up a comfortable lead to as much as 23 point in the 3rd, then withstanding the prerequisite “pride charge” by the Boston Celtics late in the 4th to hold on for a rare 108-105 road win. Fresh off of an uneven win over the Charlotte Bobcats (when Kwame “Hands Of Stone” Brown has given you 27 minutes, you’re in trouble, Jack), the L.A. Clippers roll into Boston’s TD Garden at 7:30 PM ST.   The Clippers got to trot out the reinforcements, Randy Foye continued to produce, and Blake Griffin was his beastly self. But new faces, same results; the LA Clippers faced a Sacramento Kings team bolstered by a frenetic crowd and came up short at ARCO  Arena (soon to be Power Balance Pavilion), falling 105 – 99 to the Kings.   Last time the LA Clippers (21 -37) and LA Lakers (40-19) squared off in Staples Center seems like years ago; on January 16th, The Clippers were surging and the Lakers were scuffling along (hey, terms like “scuffling” are relative; only a team the caliber of the Lakers would have their fanbase panicking while they are currently 40-19), and the results spoke for themselves. When the Carmelo Anthony swap finally happened, I was relieved.
