The Grizzlies showed in game six that they can take the punches, and now they are on the offensive. It is now the Clippers turn to respond and luckily for them they are back in their own building. They are up 3-2 and return to the Staples Center where they are 2-0. Banged up and reeling, the Clippers cannot afford to go back to Memphis for a game 7, too much would be against them and I do not like their chances. The Clippers big starting big men must stand up after a poor performance in game 5, giving up a combined 42 point and 17 rebounds to Randolph and Gasol. It may not seem like a huge sum, but Zebo got hot in the first quarter to put LA in the hole they were in and Gasol led all scorers with 23 points. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have joined the ranks of Caron Butler on the list of banged up starters for the Clippers. As the momentum begins to shift towards Memphis, and the pressure starts moving towards the Clippers, game 6 is so crucial. Chris Paul will give the Clippers the performance necessary to win the game, but Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan need to play like they were earlier in the series. Game 5 has got to be in the rear-view mirror for LA. The Clippers have to play like this is their game 7 and stay undefeated in the Staples Center and make sure the Fedex Forum has seen its’ last game this season.

In a series where the bad boy Memphis Grizzlies were picked to bully around the short handed flashy Clippers, the tag has changed for the Clippers. Memphis possesses the bigger bodies, and better role players. Los Angelos, well they are just alley-oops, some Randy Foye, a hurt Caron, and Chris Paul. Well it seems as if Chris Paul is the deciding factor, because he is playing like a man possessed. The smallest guy on the court has showed us that he is the strongest willed for 3 of the first 4 games of the series. Floor general is beginning to seem like an understatement, as Paul continually delivers huge performances. Most notable, in game 4. CP3 Delivered 27 points(8 in overtime), 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. But it hasn’t been all Paul for the Clippers. Caron Butler is displaying incredible toughness and is playing through a broken hand. Blake Griffin is matching Zach Randolph’s physicality. Nick Young is emerging as a great scoring option. The result, a 3-0 lead and a chance to end the series in Memphis. If there is one game to watch this playoff season, it’s got to be this one. Memphis is gritty and this game is at home against their passionate fans. The intensity will be at a level that none of these players have yet experienced yet, luckily for them, the pressure is off them, and with Chris Paul at the helm, anything is possible for The Clippers.
