Clippers stars participate in #ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

If you’ve been giving social media any glimmer of attention, you’ll notice another trend is making its rounds. Across all sports, athletes are taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge, but unlike every other trend prior to this one–planking, Tebowing, etc.–this one is for a great cause.

In support of the ALS association which combats amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, many are dumping water and ice on themselves, challenging three others to do to same. If not, the challenger is forced to donate $100 dollars. This has caused many to join in the challenge, all while contributing to millions that has been donated to the ALS association, and the Ice Bucket challenge has found its way to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Participating in the Ice Bucket challenge so far are center DeAndre Jordan, two-time Olympic gold medalist and multi-time MVP in Chris Paul, off-season acquisition Spencer Hawes, and newly anointed Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

Next up on the list is Slam Dunk champion Blake Griffin. With Griffin being a fun guy, there’s no doubt that he’ll have a video up of him being drenched in ice-cold water within the next two or three days.

It’s an excellent act for an excellent cause and we at Fully Clips are all for it. While we may not participate in our own Ice Bucket challenge, it’s great to see the stars of Los Angeles step in and spread awareness, all while funding for an excellent cause.

If any other member of the organization steps in and takes on the challenge, we’ll surely deliver a video update.
