Los Angeles Clippers release 2014-15 preseason schedule

Growing closer to the actual 2014-15 NBA season, the Los Angeles Clippers have released their ’14-15 preseason schedule. They’ll face an assortment of Golden State, Portland, Utah, Denver, and Phoenix. Here is the full schedule:

October 7th vs. Golden State Warriors
October 12th @ Portland Trail Blazers
October 13th @ Utah Jazz
October 17th vs. Utah Jazz
October 18th vs. Denver Nuggets (Las Vegas)
October 21st @ Golden State Warriors
October 22nd vs. Phoenix Suns
October 24th vs. Portland Trail Blazers

In an annual tradition, the Clippers return to Las Vegas in the preseason, a tradition that happened to be in jeopardy as Mandalay Bay was willing to pull their sponsorship from the Clippers in the wake of the Donald Sterling saga.

With the schedule at hand, the Clippers will get a first-hand view of some of the new faces in new places–2014 fourth overall pick Dante Exum and 23rd overall pick Rodney Hood (Utah), Isaiah Thomas (Phoenix), Shaun Livingston (Golden State), Gary Harris (Denver), and Steve Blake (Portland)–as well as face off against the Warriors, the team they defeated in the opening round of the 2014 NBA playoffs.

The preseason will also be fans first time seeing C.J. Wilcox in action. Drafted 28th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, Wilcox (and last years first-round pick Reggie Bullock) was forced to sit out of the NBA Samsung Summer League due to a shoulder injury.

Only 50-ish days until Clippers basketball returns.
