Immediately after revealing the Los Angeles Clippers would be hosting a free-agent workout that would feature the likes of Andrew Bynum, Andray Blatche, Emeka Okafor, and Greg Oden, Jorge Sedano of ESPN Radio retracted the inclusion of veteran big man Emeka Okafor.
Correction: Emeka Okafor will NOT work out for Clippers this week.

Emeka Okafor’s absence is unfortunate news. At the veterans minimum, Okafor would’ve been the perfect fit behind DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin, and Spencer Hawes. Unlike Glen Davis, Okafor specialize in defense, rebounding, and shot-blocking. He’s also able to play both the power forward and center position meaning he could fit alongside either of the three big men.
Okafor’s relationship with point guard Chris Paul would also make the big man a fit. The two played together for two seasons as members of the New Orleans Pelicans, making the playoffs in 2010-11.
Despite being 30 years old, injury caused Okafor to miss the entire 2013-14 season due to a herniated disc in the neck discovered in September.
With Emeka Okafor and Andray Blatche (agent denied the workout, the forward is reportedly in Puerto Rico), that leaves Greg Oden and Andrew Bynum on the list of expected players to appear in this workout for frontcourt players.
