Unless you’ve been under a rock these last 12 hours, it’s safe to say you’re aware of the leg injury suffered by Paul George during the Team USA Showcase. Attempting to block a fast-break layup by SG James Harden, George’s momentum carried him passed the goal, forcing his leg to get intertwined with the basket stanchion, severely hurting him.
As soon as George’ injury happened–it’s been reported to be a compound right leg fracture–NBA players, including yours truly in the Los Angeles Clippers, took to Twitter to show support for the small forward, wishing the 2014 NBA All-Star a speedy recovery and a bundle of prayer.

If you ever needed a reminder that the NBA is one large brotherhood, tonight was just that. For years, fans have pushed for the league to entire a more violent, physical era a la the 1990s, but these bonds across the league are much more appealing than team wars that lessens the visual product the NBA provides 2000-plus times a year.
Repeating the sentiments of the Clippers, here’s hope to one speedy recovery for Paul George.
