In preparation for the 2014 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Dan Woike of the Orange County Register, have worked out several guard prospects.

Those guards include Jordan Clarkson (Missouri), Sean Kilpatrick (Cincinnati), Deonte Burton (Nevada), and Nick Johnson (Arizona).

While this crop of players gives isn’t the perfect indication of who the Los Angeles Clippers have their eyes on for the 28th overall pick of the draft, it shows that the organization isn’t ignoring what could be a glaring hole going into the summer at the reserve point guard position thanks to Darren Collison who will reportedly decline his player option in order to become a free agent this summer.

Based on scouting reports across the internet, I’ve some of the best anecdotes from each report to give viewers a clear view on each player the Clippers chose to scout in yesterdays draft workout.

OK, I don’t get it. The rankings on all of these PG’s say that they are all likely to get drafted in the 2nd round if they get drafted at all. The Clippers don’t even have a 2nd round pick. Why aren’t they looking at PG’s that are likely to get drafted late in the first round. We need to look for a guy who is rated higher and who drops into our laps.
