Blake Griffin is a flopper. He doesn’t take shame in it (at least on the court he doesn’t) and viewers have taken note in the way he and teammate Chris Paul bait referees into calling fouls against the opponent.
But it’s funnier when a rival and member of the team Los Angeles Clippers speaks on Griffin’s flopping in public.
In an interview with 95.7 The Game, Klay Thompson, shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors, responded to a question wondering why Blake Griffin pisses a lot of guys off and his response was a bit funny.
Uh, yeah he’s a good guy off the court. He plays pretty physical, flops a little bit, flails his arms around, so you know you might catch a random elbow or something and that doesn’t rub off too well on guys. He’s kinda like a bull in the china shop, kinda out of control some times. And then you just seem him flop sometimes, like how can guy that big and strong flop that much, so yeah, I can see how he can get under peoples skin and be frustrating to play against.

These two teams don’t like each other. It’s evident and shows when they take the floor together. This fits along those lines. Despite fans attempting to deny it, it’s one of the best rivalries that exists in the game today, and Klay’s comments reflect that.
Depending on how the tonight finishes out, the Clippers and Warriors could face off in the first round of the playoffs. Andrew Bogut won’t be available due to fractured ribs suffered recently, but that won’t stop it from being this years versions of Clippers-Grizzlies, substituting grit-and-grind for flair and three-point shooting. Griffin may not speak publicly, responding Klay’s criticism, but there’s no doubt it’ll affect the way he walks into the possible series, wanting to make a point against the competition.
