The crossover and Jamal Crawford are synonymous at this point in his career.
During his 13 years in the NBA, Crawford has piled up a victims list, embarrassing defenders left and right with moves you’d be hard-pressed to find at your local playground. And like all elite artists (yes, the crossover is art), Crawford has some favorites around the league and with an appearance on ESPN’s Sports Nation, he names his favorite ball-handlers across the league.
“I think Kyrie Irving can handle that ball. I think Steph Curry. Obviously seeing Chris Paul every single night, he has one of the best handles in the league, so I think those three along with Tyreke Evans are probably the best ball-handlers.”
Considering the body of work, or the bodies the aforementioned group has piled up with their moves makes them fit for Crawford’s list.
Surprisingly, when asked who is the better ball-handler between Crawford and teammate Chris Paul, Crawford went with CP3.
“I’mma go with Chris. Chris got the best handles.”
Oddly enough he’s right. While Crawford contains one of the best crossovers in the NBA, Paul’s handle is superior and could be in the running for best in the league. Unfortunately for the both of them, Kyrie Irving is the king of that title when ranking all NBA players.
For a quick reminder on how well Crawford handles the ball, here is a YouTube video of some of his best crossovers and highlights from last season.
