When it comes to getting dunked on no one is mutually exclusive from that group. Alonzo Mourning. Dikembe Mutombo, Hakeem Olajuwon. All three are great shot-blockers, likely the best we’ve ever seen in this league, but there was a point in time where they met their fate by some wily cat coming into the paint ready to make a statement.
While it isn’t the first time he’s been dunked on in his career nor is it the first time he’s been dunked on by a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, Serge Ibaka caught himself on the wrong side of a poster as DeAndre Jordan reminded him (and us) why he’s the best dunking center in the NBA.
By the time Jordan’s career is over with, the list of bodies he’ll have piled up will be as thick as an epilogue. This isn’t his best or most popular dunk (hello Brandon Knight), but considering the level of defender and shot-blocker that Serge Ibaka is, he’s close to 1000 total blocks in his career, currently at 975 not including tonight’s game, and leads the league in blocks this season with 197, this poster will look good on his resume.
Hopefully, in an attempt to retaliate, Serge Ibaka doesn’t pull-out his infamous nut-check on Jordan and the two can compete under the basket for the remainder of the night.
