HIGHLIGHT: Darren Collison With the Crossover of the Year

After the poster slam-dunk and the game-winning shot, the crossover is the next best play in basketball. Players such as Allen Iverson, Tim Hardaway, Deron Williams, and Kyrie Irving have made the crossover a staple in the game. A little movement here, a little movement there and you become successful in embarrassing the defender that stands on the opposite side of you.

Enter Darren Collison.

The under-6-foot guard isn’t known for his handle. That’d be teammates Jamal Crawford and Chris Paul as they’ve made it known that any man in front of them is liable to get caught with a crazy crossover. But Collison may end the season with the best crossover as the year as he made Dallas’ Devin Harris his victim with a step-back toward the end of the fourth quarter that made Harris look as if he was sniped by an unsuspecting shooter.

As the caption says, Collison missed the shot attempt, hurting his chances for this highlight to be viral, but we won’t let his hard work go unnoticed here. Though Devin Harris won the war (the Mavericks defeated the Clippers 113-107), Collison provided him with enough ammunition to brag about for years to come thanks to YouTube, Instagram and Vine.
