With a little under six minutes left in the first quarter, Blake Griffin left the game for what has been diagnosed as back spams. According to the official Clippers twitter account, Griffin is doubtful to return. Here is a brief twitter recap of Griffin’s injury:
Blake Griffin just went down, looked like he grabbed at his lower back.

Only action preceding Griffin on the ground was Motiejunas giving him a light shove in the back. Could be back spasms.

Blake Griffin is limping off the court and going to the back with the trainer as he’s biting his jersey.

Prior to the injury, Griffin had 7 points on 2-of-3 shooting, a rebound and an assist.
Coming into tonight’s game, the Clippers were one game up on the Rockets for the third seed. Though the Clippers have the season series won (a victory by Houston tonight would make things 3-1), losing would make the last games of the season that more important.
Griffin joins Dwight Howard, Patrick Beverley, J.J. Redick and Danny Granger as they are all out with injuries tonight. We will update after the game when more information is available.
