The J.J. Redick ‘saga’ has taken another turn. It’s still unclear whether he’ll be available come playoff time, but a lot of signs are pointing toward an end-of-season return for the shooting guard. The proof? Well, J.J. Redick himself.
#Clippers G JJ Redick says he hopes to return with at least 3-4 games left in the regular season but at this point no guarantees.

Doc Rivers has never shied away from resting his players toward the latter end of the season, so it’ll be interesting to see how coach handles the Redick situation. If he is indeed healthy, returning for the last three or four games will be perfect as he looks to get himself back into game shape. Lucky for the Clippers, Redick isn’t Raymond Felton, so a few runs should get he re-acclimated to the game quickly, though nothing Redick can do outside of the game can prepare him for live action.
While Rivers recently noted that Redick wouldn’t play on the team’s five-game road trip, I get the feeling that the sharp-shooter could make an appearance. For one he’s traveling with the team, practicing with the team and has been seen at several shootouts. Doc Rivers also never shut the door on Redick playing a few days back.
“I guess there’s a chance. I don’t think so. But I mean there’s a chance. He looks good. He’s moving well. He’s shooting well.”
On the season, Redick is averaging 15.7 points while shooting 39% from three.
