Highly evident on Twitter and other social networks, everyone had an opinion on the beatdown the Clippers gave the Lakers last week. Now Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is throwing his two cents into the conversation:
Kobe on what was going through his head w/t blowout to the Clippers. “Now I know what it feels like to be a Clippers fan all these years.”

That feeling Bryant speaks of is the losing culture the Clippers fan base once endured. Outside of the last few seasons aka the Chris Paul years, the Clippers weren’t good. Between the years of 1990 and 2010 the Clippers had three winning seasons and four playoff appearances, losing in the first round in all but the 2005-06 stint.
But since Paul’s arrival, the shoe has been on the other foot, especially this season. While the Clippers are looking like championship contenders for the first time since the franchise’s inception, the Lakers have looked like one of the worst teams in the league with a record of 22-42, a view point this team has ever seen.
You could argue that the city of LA is becoming a Clippers team, but that’s false. But they’re winning and the Lakers are losing, so that’s all that really matters right now.
If you’re checking the scoreboard it’s still Clippers 3, Kobe Bryant/Lakers – 1 on the season.
