Jared Dudley Left Last Night's Game With Back Spasms

While the Los Angeles Clippers walked away victorious over the Phoenix Suns, the daunted injury bug made sure it’s mark was made before the night was over. During the third quarter, Jared Dudley left the game with an injury that was later revealed as back spasms. He didn’t return for the rest of the night.

Dudley wasn’t playing a fantastic game, but he was 2-for-3 from the field for a total of four points. Considering how he’s played over the last 20 or something games, Dudley was on par to have a decent game.

But Dudley being injury is just another blow to his already bad season. The vision that the Clippers had when they acquired him, a player who can spread the floor and guard the other teams best players for a stretch, hasn’t been seen. Instead he’s been hurt, hasn’t defended well, his shooting is down, and has been pushed into a reserve role, one where Reggie Bullock is likely to notch more minutes than Dudley will.

There has been little news following up Dudley’s injury, but he did take to Twitter to deliver this little message:

One suspects he should be available on Thursday when the Clippers play the Lakers on TNT.
