According to Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star, it looks like free agent forward Danny Granger has made his decision on which team he’ll be playing on for the remainder of the NBA season:
Just heard from a source close to Danny Granger that he’s going to the Los Angeles Clippers. Will be there tomorrow.

Granger’s decision doesn’t come to much of a surprise as he has decided to sign with the Clippers over the Rockets, Spurs and Heat. While the final four teams all provide a chance for Granger to make an impact in the playoffs, and possibly the NBA Finals depending on the team, his decision to sign with the Clippers could be beneficial for his career beyond this season.
The small forward position hasn’t treated Los Angeles well this season. Hedo Turkoglu lacks the speed to guard on the perimeter forcing him to become a small-ball power forward, Matt Barnes has dealt with injury forcing him to take a step back and he works to get back to the player we saw last year and Jared Dudley hasn’t lived up to the expectations that came with being a 3-and-D player. There is a huge chance that, by seasons end, Granger could be the starting small forward on this team.
And if he plays well that increases his value going into free agency this summer. But he has a long way to go to return to the player he was prior to the injuries that sidelined him for majority of the 2012-13 season and most of this season. Since returning, Granger has struggled mightily, shooting 35 percent from the field and 33 percent from behind the arc, while defensively he’s regressed deeply. These are issues that can all be corrected with consistent playing time and an improvement in health, something both the Clippers and Granger are betting on going forward.
Looking at the schedule, Granger will likely make his first appearance against the Phoenix Suns on March 4th after he takes a physical and gets acclimated with the team in practices.
Here is another confirmation on the Granger signing from Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles and Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:
