The Los Angeles Clippers will be without J.J. Redick and Willie Green on Tuesday when they face the San Antonio Spurs at home. The last 10 days Sasha Vujacic has been their security blanket even though he has played very minimal minutes (10), the Clippers decided not to extend a second 10-day contract to Sasah Vujacic. Rivers said the Clippers would likely look to add a player after Thursday’s trade deadline. The trade deadline is Thursday, watch out for all the rumors… I see the Clippers being active in the rumor mill but expect the team to stay intact.
In a interview Arash Markazi of ESPNLA.com Doc Rivers says:
“We’re going to do [a 10-day contract] but we don’t know if it will be for Sasha or somebody else,” Rivers said. “I don’t know when we’re going to do one but we’ll do one eventually.”
“That’s why you don’t want to do a 10-day now, you don’t want to have the extra contract, you may need it,” Rivers said. “I don’t think anything’s going to happen honestly but you just never know. … We’re not out there looking for anything or to move anyone but people are calling so you do listen.”
I assume Reggie Bullock will see extra time at the guard position until these others guys get back on the court.
