Prior to the All-Star break, it was said the Clippers would make a decision on free agent guard Sasha Vujacic after the break. Now that the time is hear, we have some sad news for you guys: The Machine era is no more.

“You don’t want to have the extra contract. You may need the [roster spot]. I don’t think anything is going to happen, honestly. But you just never know.”

That “anything” Doc Rivers is referring to is a possible roster change as the trade deadline is fastly approaching. Here I go beating  a dead horse, but it’s no secret the Clippers are checking the market for a third big to add to the rotation, dangling Jared Dudley and probably every other player not named Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan in the process.

In a weird way, Rivers left the door open for the Machine, or any other player that can be obtained via a 10-day contract, open if nothing happens after the trade deadline.

So long Machine. Until next time.
