The Los Angeles Clippers have announced that reserve shooting guard Willie Green will miss tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers:

While Green has been used sparingly this season, with regular minutes only coming in the light of injuries to the perimeter core, the absence of J.J. Redick, who is currently dealing with a lingering knee and hip issue and expected to be back after the All-Star break, makes Green’s sitting against the Blazers more noticeable.

Willie Green has appeared in 37 games on the season, starting in seven, and has averaged 5.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 38 percent from the field and 32 percent from behind the arc.

Jamal Crawford will start in the absence of Redick while Sasha Vujacic and Reggie Bullock will play key minutes at the reserve shooting guard spot.
