Can you be 7-foot and the best dunker in the NBA?
Before you answer this question, let DeAndre Jordan make his case with a between-the-legs statue of liberty dunk.
We’ve seen his in-game dunks: the Brandon Knight massacre, the countless alleys and fast break dunks that captivate the NBA fan, but this is belongs in the same category as the Paul George in-game windmill.
Dunks like this make us wonder why a player of Jordan’s talents hasn’t participated in a dunk contest yet. This year the thought arose, but due to him not being voted into the All-Star game by the coaches around the league he declined the offer. One would like to think that he’s a much more interesting player to see on that stage than a Damian Lillard who can dunk, but doesn’t seem fit for a dunk contest. It’s safe to say that based on all we’ve seen in this competition the last few years, this dunk would definitely win the competition. Easily.
It’s crazy to think that DeAndre Jordan may be the second best dunker on his team. And with the likes of Terrence Ross, Paul George and Gerald Green in the NBA, it’d be hard for him to make a claim as the best dunker in the league. Maybe he can stake his claim as the best big man dunker in the league.
