If you’ve wondered when Chris Paul was gonna return to the starting lineup then you’re in for some good news. Doc Rivers says he will start the All-Star point guard tonight against Philadelphia 76ers:
Doc on Chris Paul: “I’m just gonna start him and play him, and let his lungs tell me when he’s gonna come out” #Clippers

As you know, Chris Paul missed a month due to a shoulder injury suffered in early January. In his absence, Darren Collison stepped into the starting lineup averaging 13.4 points and 6.3 assists, replicating his rookie year success when he started in place of Paul. While many thought the team was doomed without Paul, the Clippers went 12-6, jumping ahead of the Golden State Warriors in the Atlanta Division, as Blake Griffin lead the team.
On the season, Paul is averaging 19.6 points on 46 percent shooting, 11.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. He was also voted to his seventh All-Star appearance, this time coming off the bench as Stephen Curry was the lead vote-getter at the point guard position.
