Clippers To Pass on Hedo Turkoglu For Now

For those who were hoping the Los Angeles Clippers signed Hedo Turkoglu, a sick bunch of people likely, that move has been postponed for now.

The Clippers also brought in forward Hedo Turkoglu for a meeting and a workout Thursday. They liked what they saw but don’t plan on signing him anytime soon. The Clippers would have to cut a player to make room for any new additions.

“He made shots from everywhere,” Rivers said of Turkoglu. “He looked good. It was a good workout, but we’re not doing anything anytime soon, but he did look good.”

With Reggie Bullock and J.J. Redick back, there is no immediate need to sign another body for the wing position. Add in the fact that Turkoglu hasn’t played basketball in a year and a half, and wasn’t good in that span, and you get the decision that Doc Rivers made.

Turkoglu will continue to be an unrestricted free agent after being waived by the Orlando Magic.
