Chris Paul Goes Down With Right Shoulder Injury

Los Angeles Clipper star guard Chris Paul has left game against Dallas Mavericks in the third quarter with an apparent right shoulder sprain and will not return.

Paul suffered the injury with 6:43 remaining in the third quarter and the Clippers leading 77-75. Paul attacked the basket and was fouled by Maverick guard Monta Ellis.

He left the contest with 19 points (on 5-for-8 shooting), six assists and three rebounds in 22 minutes. Darren Collison has taken over for him doing a great job, scoring 18 points thus far.

UPDATE: Chis Paul wanted to come back in to the game, but Clipper medical personal said no. Clippers do come up with a huge victory over Dallas 119-112.
