After a free day of rehabbing due to the Thanksgiving holiday, Chris Paul is a go for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings.
In Wednesdays victory over a struggling New York Knicks squad, Paul was seen headed toward the tunnel during the latter end of the third quarter. He would not return for the rest of the game.
The Los Angeles Clippers noted that had the game been competitive toward the end, Paul would have been available for return. CP3 would speak on the injury post game on his availability for Friday’s game.
I’m alright. It’s a little tight, but I’ll be alright. I’ll be ready Friday.”
With the injury bug having it’s way with the Clippers early in the season — though all haven’t been serious — losing Paul would be a backbreaker to the Clippers. This team goes as Paul goes and without him this grouping could be a borderline playoff team in the Western Conference.
Luckily he’s healthy. Paul should hope that the hamstring is in as best shape as he can get it in before facing up with Kings Sixth Man of the Year candidate Isaiah Thomas. Thomas has averaged 25.5 points and 4.5 assists in the two meetings between the clubs. The Clippers have walked away with a victory in both matches.
