Matt Barnes to Miss Two Games with Left Eye Contusion

Seems like all the news surrounding Matt Barnes this season has little to do with his play on the court. While it’s not because of his tweets from last week, Matt Barnes will miss the next two games against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder due to injury:

In eight games played this season, Barnes has exactly lived up to the expectations coming off his career best season in 2012-13. He’s averaging 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 34 percent from the field and 25 percent from behind the arc. This is Barnes’ lowest three-point percentage since the 2005-06 season where he split time between New York and Philadelphia.

As when Barnes missed time against Orlando and Miami, Willie Green and rookie Reggie Bullock will make up for the loss of Matt.
