Chris Paul Receives Warning for Flopping vs. Minnesota

I am honestly surprised it has taken this long for the King of Flop to be caught by the NBA.

Chris Paul received a warning for flopping late in the game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves after drawing this foul on Ricky Rubio:

By drawing the foul on Rubio, Paul was sent to the free-throw line where he made both shots. The Clippers won the game against the T’Wolves by two points. See what I’m getting at (and no don’t say conspiracy).

Since the NBA implemented the rule for flopping, Chris Paul has been warned for flopping twice. We all remember the atrocity that was against the Sacramento Kings in March of last season. Last night’s violation is his first in the 2013-14 NBA season. Another violation will result in a $5K fine with the price increasing with every ensuing violation. As of this season only James Harden has been fined for flopping.

Anderson Varejao of the Cleveland Cavaliers was also warned for flopping last night.
