It hasn’t been a good week for Houston Rockets guard James Harden against the Los Angeles Clippers. First he’s exposed for his god-awful defense in the team’s first meeting and now he’s been hit with a fine of $5K for flopping.

Here is the play:

Harden has already gained a reputation around the league as a notorious flopper in his short career, but this is just egregious on his behalf. Even Chris Paul and Manu Ginobili are shaking his head at this one. The contact from Blake Griffin is minimal and the way Harden’s body flies to the ground is quite hilarious.

While James Harden isn’t the first player to be hit with a flopping violation this season (Corey Brewer, Kevin Love, Patty Mills, Iman Shumpert and John Wall are the others), Harden is the only player to receive a flopping violation twice, which is why the $5,000 fine was assessed. If Harden is caught flopping again the next penalty will result in a fine of $10K.
