News arose earlier on the subject this summer, NBA 2K14 unofficially confirmed it and the Los Angeles Clippers have been preparing for it with a couple of Instagram posts. But now the Clippers have officially unveiled the #BACKINBLUE sleeved jerseys the team will be wearing this season:

According to Johan Buva of ESPN Los Angeles, the team will wear the jerseys for each Sunday home game during the 2013-14 season.
Here’s what the Clippers said about the jerseys via a press release:
The alternate uniforms will debut on-court on October 19th during a preseason game against the Denver Nuggets in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Designed by adidas, the uniforms are inspired by heritage of the Clippers organization and the Nautical culture of the southern California area. The “Back in Blue” uniform features light blue color for the first time since the team was based in San Diego. Light blue has a rich history with the organization and has been a part of the team’s identity since they were the Buffalo Braves in the 1970’s. The lightweight woven shorts feature three iconic nautical flags to represent each of the team’s letters – L-A-C- to stand for Los Angeles Clippers.
These are decent jerseys. The color-way is much better than the dark-blue jerseys the team worse in the NBA 2013 Playoffs, but the sleeves thing throws off the beauty of them. As we all remember the Golden State Warriors debuted the notorious sleeves last season and the public reception of them weren’t great. Much hasn’t changed since then. Now they’ll be in Los Angeles (Lakers will wear them also) and several other markets as Steve Kyler of Hoops World reported earlier this summer that at least 20 teams may be wearing sleeved jerseys this year. It’s safe to say that the only entity that hopes this is a trend rather than a fad is Adidas.
