Most of us NBA fans know that the Los Angeles Clippers are much better than the Los Angeles Lakers talent wise. With Chris Paul’s new extension and the acquisition of Doc Rivers, it’s probably going to stay like that for a while. Despite that battle being over, it looks like there’s a new competition between both franchises.

This NBA season, both Los Angeles teams will be battling to see who has the better alternate uniform.

After a two-year break, the Clippers brought back their familiar blue alternate jersey last season. The organization recently announced that they’ll be back in blue again this season. That’s great news for Clipper fans! I personally really like the blue jerseys, and I’m glad they brought it back because it’s a nice contrast from their usual red and white uniforms.

As for the Lakers, it looks like they’ll be sporting a brand new alternate uniform. In my opinion, their new black and purple uniforms signify that it truly is a dark time in Lakerland. They call it “Hollywood Nights.”

It’s actually a pretty cool name, but to me it’s just an incredibly dark jersey. Although, I’m guessing Kobe Bryant is a big fan of their new jersey. It does seem to fit his Black Mamba image quite well.

If you ask me, I think the Clippers blue jersey looks a lot better than the Lakers’ new “Hollywood Nights” uniform. And I’m not saying that because I’m a Clippers fan! Just take a look and see for yourself.
