The Los Angeles Clippers may invite former NBA star Gilbert Arenas to mini-camp in San Diego CA according to Hoopsworld’s Alex Kennedy.
I’m hearing that Gilbert Arenas has looked good in workouts this summer. The Clippers may invite him to training camp, according to sources.

Arenas hasn’t played much basketball since his unfortunate legal issues in 2009-10. Arenas and teammate Javaris Crittenton had unloaded guns in the Washington Wizards locker room during a Christmas Eve argument regarding gambling debts.
He was then traded to the Orlando Magic who later waived the guard in 2011. Arenas signed a deal to play for the Memphis Grizzlies. Later in 2012, he joined the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 20.7 points per game.
Despite legal troubles getting Arenas a bad rep in the NBA, knee injuries kept the former Wizards star from keeping up with the Kobe Bryant‘s and Dwyane Wade‘s of the league. From 2003 to 2007 Arenas averaged 24.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists, something only four players did in that span (McGrady, James, Bryant). During that span he lead the Wizards to three straight playoff appearances (05-07).
