Doc Rivers and Antwan Jamison Dine in LA Together. No Contract Offered Yet

According to ESPNLA Doc Rivers and Antwan Jamison met for dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Sources say the dinner went great but no contract was offered.

Veteran forward Antawn Jamison and Clippers coach and senior vice president of player personnel Doc Rivers had dinner Saturday night in Los Angeles, a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN LA
No offer was made, but there are plans for the Clippers and Jamison’s representatives to speak soon. The Clippers have been interested in Jamison, who played for the Lakers last season, for some time but this was the first meeting between the two sides. ESPN LA
The Clippers can only offer Jamison the veterans minimum and adding Jamison would put the club over the tax line, even if it waives the non-guaranteed contract ofMaalik Wayns or Brandon Davies. A minimum deal for Jamison would be $1,352,181 which is highest minimum salary for a player with 10-plus years of NBA experience according to the Collective Bargain Agreement.
