Markazi: Clippers Looking to Re-Sign Lamar Odom

While the Los Angeles Clippers have been filling the glaring holes on their bench, there is still a spot missing behind Blake Griffin. Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles says free agent Lamar Odom may be next in line to be signed.

Lamar Odom’s free agency interest has been quiet throughout the summer outside of the rumored interest from his former team in the Los Angeles Lakers which likely led to the Clippers showing interest in veteran Antawn Jamison.

Whomever the Clippers prefer between the two players, they’ll need to add someone as they hae no one solid on the bench that can run the power forward position at the moment . Last season, Odom averaged 4 points (career low) and 5.9 rebounds per game at 19.7 minutes a contest As the season went on, Odom’s play increased as he worked his way into playing shape.

Bringing back Odom would be a sound move. Looking at other free agent options at the 4, with Antawn Jamison, Anthony Tolliver and Kenyon Martin being some of the better options outside of Odom, the pickings are getting slim for quality rotation men.

The quicker a team signs Lamar Odom the less time he has to do things like this:
