Per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports,

Vinny Del Negro will interview for the Denver Nuggets‘ head coaching job this weekend, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Del Negro will be the third candidate to meet with Nuggets management for the vacancy.

To go from George Karl to Vinny Del Negro would be uninspiring for a lot of Denver Nuggets fans as they go through their front office transformation, but this job isn’t necessarily a lock. The Nuggets have interviewed Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw and former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins.

Outside of the Nuggets, the former Los Angeles Clippers head coach has been connected to the Boston Celtics amidst the Clippers-Celtics trade, but nothing has been confirmed.

It’s unlikely he gets the job over Hollins or Shaw, but this shows that someone will be glad enough to give VDN a job after his underwhelming Clippers run that led to his eventual firing.
