According to Ramona Shelburne and Marc Stein of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Clippers haven’t ruled out the possibility of retaining the services of Vinny Del Negro. Most of Clipper Nation and the media expected VDN to be fired by now after a frustrating early departure from the 2013 NBA Playoffs. The one and the only Donald T. Sterling has always been a big supporter of the head coach that electrified Los Angeles with a history 56-26 record. All in all ,Sterling will make the final decision and according to sources he isn’t ready to part ways or sign Del Negro to a new contract. ESPN.com reported in April that the Clippers have interest in pursuing former Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy if the say good-bye to VDN.
Sources told ESPN.com that there is a level of interest within the organization to extend Del Negro’s contract despite the widespread assumption in league circles that the embattled coach would take the fall for the Clippers’ six-game exit to the Memphis Grizzlies in Round 1.

According to one source in the NBA who’s name hasn’t been made available says one other NBA team has contacted Vinny Del Negro gaging his interest in coaching their team but as of now he declined and is only interested in the Clippers job.
