NBA All-Star first returns – Chris Paul and Blake Griffin in the hunt

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are in the running for starting spots in the 2013 NBA All-star Game, with Paul garnering 353,603 votes counted thus far and Blake not far behind at 307,855. Both players started last year’s game.

Kobe Bryant leads in total votes in the Western Conference with over 600,000 votes, while teammate Dwight Howard is holding steady with 430,000-plus. LeBron James is ahead in overall votes, with Kevin Durant third in total ballots. In the Eastern Conference, Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, and Carmelo Anthony are the leaders.

Fans can still cast ballots in a number of ways, including via Twitter, Facebook, and mobile applications on their tablets and smartphones.
