14 games left in the season and it just feels like we deserve more here in Clipperland.
I know having Mike Dunleavy lose two jobs this year, the second one in embarassingly public detail, it may seem like asking for more is being greedy but I’m doing it anyway.
Taking a “glass is half-full” midset, I’m glad the powers that be finally wised up to the fact that NO ONE would be interested in joining the Clippers this summer with Dunlavy still making decisions.
An 8-point loss to the Hornets last night was nothing spectacular, aside from the fact that Baron Davis had 17 a ssists against only 1 turnover.
They play the Bucks tomorrow night, a game that will make it fun to watch Brandon Jennings try to race Baron.
What the season has come down to is essentially a big dose of, “well, let’s see…they’re terrible and aren’t going to look this way in the very near future, I’m not quite ready to get excited about the Larry Brown and LeBron machine yet…ooh, The Office is on!” type of season.
I bet if you’d asked Blake Griffin on his 20th birthday how he’d hoped to spend his 21st birthday, the answer wouldn’t have been, “still waiting to play in the NBA.”
