Clips Get Healthy Against the Wizards

The Clippers beat the Wizards 92-78 this morning while everyone else in America was getting ready for a full day of football watching, snapping an 8-game road losing streak and improving their record to 20-23 on the year – one more win then they had all of last season.

Chris Kaman continued to make his case for selection as an All-Star reserve, leading all scorers with 20 points on 7 of 10 shooting while also pulling down four rebounds. Marcus Camby grabbed 19 rebounds for the Clippers and has now averaged just over 14.5 rebounds per game for his last 5 games.

Eric Gordon missed his second consecutive game with a toe injury and it is not yet known if he’ll be available to morrow when the team visits the Celtics. Recent addition JameSon Curry was a DNP – Coach’s Decision in what can fairly be called a moronic move by Dunleavy. Sign a guy for a 10-day contract and not let him get some run in a game that became a blowout in the fourth quarter? That’s just dumb decision making, particularly when it means Curry’s sitting came at the expense of getting the regulars more time in the front half of a back-to-back.

And on an un-related note, I’m hoping the Saints pull this game out – I am tired of Brett Favre.
